Just a reminder, that when you claim a player from the waiver wire, you go to the bottom of the list the next time a player comes around.

That means, if a GM has not put in a claim on a player on waivers before, and another GM puts in a claim that has received a player via this method, the GM who has never claimed a player on waivers will get priority.

Malik a Lightning

Tampa Bay has added the lumbering Marek Malik to their incredibly underwhelming blueline. I dont see him as a potential "add" for anyone in the pool, but you never can account for taste.

Malik has kinda been maligned the last couple years, even though he's almost always a plus player. Not much of a scorer though, so he probably won't be getting too much PP time. And being a plus player on Tampa this year is going to be a challenge to say the least.

Also - the Kings Jack Johnson is out for up to three months with shoulder problems (bad year for young defensemen) and Aaron Voros is apparently a scorer now (he's a Nacho free agent you know...).

Dont forget - Flames Versus Colorado tonight. Go Cammalleri! And Giordano! (Boo everyone else).

Greetings and welcome to the Nacho Keeper League blog! This is the inaugural post and though I wish I had something witty or insightful to say, Im going to keep it "all business".

Purpose of the blog:

You know, whatever. Talk trades with other GMs, come by for the odd update on the pool itself or news from the league (the real one). Talk smack when your 10th rounder ends up outperforming some other schmucks coveted 1st overall pick, etc.

I think we'll start off with a couple of the principles being authors/admin around here (think: Ryan, Myself). If anyone else thinks they could contribute to the blogs running/content, let us know and we'll add you. Otherwise, just visiting and commenting should suffice.

Also: the links and gadgets on the right hand side will be kept sparse for now. If there's any relevant website you think should be added, let us know.
